Bathtub drain pipe leaking under concrete slab
I have a leak under my bathtub. At first thought it was the drain, replaced it and saw that the water was actually coming up from under the dirt under the slab. Is it possilbe to repair this myself? Also, can I run the drain pipe over head?

Yes and no! Yes you repair it yourself and no you can't run a overhead drain line,
You're going to hafta dig down and locate the leak. Get back to me with the material the pipes are made of and where the leak is and we'll start a repair. Regards, Tom

Are your hot and cold supply lines also buried in this same area? This doesn't necessarily sound like a leak in the drain.

Installing a bathtub on a concrete slab [ 1 Answers ]

I am installing a tub to existing plumbing, but it's on a concrete slab. We've jackhammered the concrete so that I have enough room underneath to put in the drain and p-trap, but am I going to have to buy the tub, set it in place, hook up the plumbing and then remove it to replace the concrete?
