Basement odor with grinder pump excessive gurgling
I have a grinder pump that was installed when we built our house 14 years ago. It has been working properly however, we now notice excessive gurgling and an unusual odor in our finished basement.

Is this sound a "gurgle" or a "bubble"? What you smell is sewer gas. A gurgle indicates a blocked vent. You will have two vents, check them both. Regards, Tom
