3 times to flush toilet HELP Please
It takes me at least 3 times to get my stuff down the toilet. The toilet is 3 years old. I cleaned out the jets and it still does it. I dumped a bucket of water down the toilet and it went right down the toilet. I have a septic system. In the upper part of the toilet there is a bunch of mineral build up but I'm afraid to clean it as the jets might get clogged up. Any ideas?

Are you saying that the rim holes and loaded up with mineral build-up?
How's the small hole in the bowl? Does that have mineral build-up also?
    Let me know, Tom

The holes in the bowl seem to be clear I cleaned them out with an allen wrench. The upper part of the toilet is all brown inside.

Did the toilet ever flush good or was it always a "lazy"toilet? Tom

That narrows it down. If the jet's clear and the tank is filling to 1/2" the top of the white overflow tube then that places the problem outside the toilet
and brings up the question of back pressure. One thing that you should be aware of is that with the new 1.6 gallon tank you don't have as much water to push the solids out. We can't pinpoint the problem from here but we can point you to likely places to look. If there were a partial clog that the discharge was hitting setting up a backpressure that stopped the siphon action, (flush) that would do it.
On a personal note. I changed my tank back to the old style 3.5 gallon tank when I ended up flushing two or three times. We have a lot of complaints with the "water saver" toilets not flushing good. Regards, om

Last year we remodeled the basement and added a bathroom. The toilet drain runs only about 3 feet and empties into an ejector pit with pump, shared by the sink and shower. It seems to work well. However, many times the toilet needs to be flushed 3 times to clear it. Plunging doesn’t really...
