    If you had a drawing that'll have helped. I suggest you make use of Flemming's left hand rule.

    A.E - yes, you are correct. For a charged particle in an electric field the force experienced by the particle is

    F= qE

    Indeed, at that time, I didn't even know the equations F = Eq, F = BQv, etc... I was on my first year and charged particles came next year in April itself :rolleyes:
