    What equation should I use for a water bottle rocket lab that uses distance vs volume?
    I am using distance vs volume of water. Of course, the volume of water is my independent variable. What equation should I use for this lab?

    Be sure that in youtr experiments you control for pressure - that could affect your results. You also want to make sure that your "launch angle" is the same every time.

    You will plot distance (D) versus volume of water used (V). As for what equation to use to model D = f(V), it's impossible to say. Once you make your plot of experimental results you may get a better idea as to whether the relationship is linear, or quadratic, or a log function, etc.

    ^ yes we are controlling pressure too... but I really just need a specific equation for my lab. I know my data and graph will be messed up would really suck but my teacher said its OK as long as I got how I do it correctly. That is why I need the exact equation. Please help me :(( THAnks by the way
