    Sound Pressure Level (SPL)
On the factory shop floor the following sound pressure levels were measured:

    Octave Band Centre Frequency (Hz) : 63 125 250 500 1K 2K 4K 8K

    Band SPL (db(LIN)): 110 110 108 106 106 106 104 100

While in this area all workers must wear hearing protectors whose attenuations
Characteristic rises from 10dB at 63Hz by 2dB/octave up to 8kHz. The dB(A) network is
    Given as follows-

    Octave Band Centre Frequency (Hz) : 63 125 250 500 1K 2K 4K 8K

    Weighting dB : -26 -16 -9 -3 0 +1 +1 -1

    Calculate:

    a) The total linear SPL.

    b) The overall A-weighted SPL experienced by a worker on the shop floor.

    Thanks...
