    Physics Help!
    If there is a circuit with a batter and 3 coils on the outside not touching the battery, would there be any current when the switch closes? If so what direction?

    Your question doesn't make much sense. What are the "coils ". If they are not touching or connected to the battery no current would flow through them. Can you post a drawing so we have a better idea of exactly what you are asking. With DC, current flows pos to neg.
