    Projectile Motion/Vectors
A small steel ball bearing with a mass of 29 g is on a short compressed spring. When aimed vertically and suddenly released, the spring sends the bearing to a height of 1.23 m.
Calculate the speed at which the ball leaves the spring.
Calculate the horizontal distance the ball will travel if the same spring is aimed 36 from the horizontal.

    1. Use energy.

Gravitational energy gained by ball = Initial kinetic energy of ball.

    2. From your answer to 1, find the vertical and horizontal components of the velocity of the ball.
Find the time taken to for the ball to fall down using
Use that time and the horizontal component of the velocity of the ball to get the horizontal displacement.
