    My intuitive answer is that A would get smaller and B bigger, until the pressures equal out after a while.

    The forces at work in the soap bubble get weaker as the membrane gets thinner. My 2 cents says the smaller bubble contracts and the larger expands.

    More info:
    The pressure difference (Inside - Outside) is inversely proportional to the radius of the bubble. The smaller the bubble is, the more force the bubble's surface tension exerts.

    This is why a small bubble is always a sphere, whereas a large bubble can be elongated and varying.
