    choosing a dc motor
    I want to move a body of about 100kg with max speed of 1m/s... the body dimensions are 800mm X 1200mm... what is the maximum torque of a dc motor required?what is the power wattage of motor required?

    What you need to specify is how quickly you want to accelerate the body from 0 to 1m/s. That will determine how powerful the motor has to be. Also - how will the body move? Will the motor be lifting the body like an elevator, or will the body be towed across the floor? Is the body on rollers?
