Calculate the time required for the pool ball to fall to the ground and the horizontal distance between the table's edge and the ball's landing location.

    The height is not clear, but what you are supposed to do is to use the kinematics equations:

    For the vertical component of the motion, you have:



    Take h as the height, take the initial vertical velocity as 0, take g = 9.81 m/s^2 to find t.

    For the horizontal component of the motion, you have:



    Use the t from above and the given initial horizontal velocity u to get d, the horizontal distance travelled.
