    Spiders!
    Hi All

I had some garden work done and since then we have had horrid big spider throughout the house and sometimes there are even on the sofa and this is horrible when wanting to come home and relax.

Every time I come into the property I check all floors tables and sofa and even my bed I am so paranoid that I don't relax or even sleep.

I see at least one spider a day I clean my house on daily basis mopping with dettol and I just don't know what else to do

How can I get rid of these - is there any products or devices that I can use!!

    PLEASE HELP!!

Cleaning your house isn't really going to rid yourself of spiders... they aren't roaches.
Getting rid of spiders can be tricky and your best bet is going to be to let a pest control technician come to your home. They need to find where the spiders are getting in and then treat it properly. There are some chemicals they can put down than can prevent them from making webs. This isn't going to disappear overnight and may take several treatments.

Your best bet is going to be mechanical controls. Some spiders don't spin webs; those that do can be chased away by keeping webs swept down so they cannot catch anything to eat.

The spiders that don't spin you will have to trap. The easiest way is to use the webspinners' tactics against them. You can find glue traps wherever you buy insecticide sprays. The best ones for this purpose are made of pasteboard with a glue on one side. These can be folded into a tent shape (glue on the INside) and placed in out of the way corners and between furniture and walls where the spiders move. Dispose of the entire trap once you've caught one. You can leave them alone for up to a week until you catch one or they get so dusty that they're no longer sticky.

Edit: The web sprays hauntinghelper refers to are for dissolving the webs AFTER the spiders have gone.
