Saurkraut smell coming from wall
I have a saurkraut like smell in a closet that is in my basement. The closet is also next to a bathroom, but there is no problem with the plumbing. Does anyone know what the smell can be? Can it be a dead animal?

If it's as sharp as the odor of saurkraut normally is, I would look to see if the wiring and lights are in good shape. Carrion normally does not have a vinegary tang like saurkraut does, but several people in the home improvement section have reported that overloading their light sockets has resulted in strange odors made up of ozone and melting plastics. Check the light sockets today. Nothing smells as bad as a burnt house. |
