    A new bug bite?
Hello :) ill try to give as much info as I can.

I was getting undressed last night for bed. When I found a bug bite.

It was right on one of my... ahem... chest... (sorry :o )

It is a welp. And as soon as I took my shirt and bra off, it started to itch and HURT badly as if it was a fire ant bite.

It was also the size of a USA QUARTER!

I didn't see a bug. But that doesn't mean it wasn't there. Also it was either extreamly small and got UNDER my bra, or it was larger and bit/stung Through my bra.

I live in Phoenix Arizona if that makes a difference. And it was NOT a bee or scorpion as I am allergic to them and I definitely would have been in more pain.

Hi pep, I am allergic to spider bites. These little varmints hide in warm clothing, like something you just take off and put aside. Of course, they stay there and the item of clothing goes back on and they get frantic because they can't get out and bite. Spider bites are huge and itch like h***ll. I bath area with alcohol and that seems to take the sting out and disinfect as well.

    Plausible explanation.

I think Tickle pegged this one. If it were anything that bit you while wearing the bra you would have noticed the bite or a carcass when you took off the bra. A small spiderling can have a nasty bite, as some species venom is necrotic, causing a pustule to form.

They hide in warm laundry hampers too. One year I had a really big problem with them. I would leave my laundry hamper on the bedroom floor and the next day wear something out of it and wonder why one particular spot of skin was tremendously itchy. I finally figured it out. Spiders. I have to be especially wary of them because this year again in southern Ontario, because of the damp heat, they are abundant again.

Hey guys sorry to be a bug (sorry for the pun) but I have a new problem with this same bug bite.

Its been about 24 hours since I got it, (give or take a few hours) and now it has a 'line' coming off it. It looks like a ladel shaped bug bite lol.

EDIT acually it looks more like a cherry now that I look at it

Seriously. Go to the doctor, asap! I had one of these once when I lived in Oklahoma right tween my eyes at that, I will never forget calling a triage nurse (yay army healthcare) and trying to explain it to her. I started hallucinating during the phone call and my husband had to take me to the ER.

They put me on some giant green pills that made everything taste gross, but my giant bump went down in a day or two.

OK went to urgent care this morning :) said that it was doing something called 'streaking' and it got infected, that's why it got so swollen and big. Even though I'm not allergic to it. She said it wasn't bad. And that if I wash it good with betadine (which she was nice enough to give me) by mixing it with water and then rinsing it off. And put antibiotic ointment on it and cover it (she said that was just to keep me from scratching it) it would be OK. She told me that if it got unbearable I could use benadryl cream, which I already have. But I haven't really needed it. Its not that itchy lol.

Thanks everyone for telling me to go in. that's creepy. Hehe.
