Anyone know why my house is constantly getting ladybugs in it? And what I could do to get rid of them?

Ladybugs are not harmful. Ever hear of lady luck. They are not a pest but a beautiful symbol of good fortunes to come. Your fortunate they are not cockroaches or earwigs or centipedes.

Also know that ladybugs rid your house of other pests. They are very good for plants as they eat pests that infect plants. They are actually worth their weight in gold. You could sell them on E-bay!!

I know this did not answer your question, but consider selling them, many greenhouses and individuals do indeed buy ladybugs.

Ladybugs hibernate during the winter and in the spring they emerge and do what they do best multiply and eat insects. Some way they must have found an opening in your house that they could hibernate in and after in there hey got some warmth and thinking it was spring they exited into your house instead of to the outside. If you start seeing some very small black bugs, longer in shape and having a hairy like body, these will be the ladybug nymphs, that will attach themselves to something and then in time molt into a ladybug. These nymphs can bite you but it is only a slight sting.

Although I personally like ladybugs and it doesn't bother me when they find their way inside my home, there actually has been a rise in allergic reactions and asthma attacks associated with the Japanese variety.

Right now, the best thing you can do is just vacuum them up as you see them.

I get a terrible cluster fly infestation in the wintertime because I live in the middle of the woods. So, every fall (early) I have a local pest control company come out and spray the entire exterior of the house. Since I started doing that, the problem has been resolved. You may want to consider having a company come in next fall and spray for you so that you don't have to deal with all the chemicals yourself.

If they look like a ladybug but are a bit darker they aren't ladybugs, they are Asian Beetles and they do bite. Chances are they are in your house either because of the weather or because they are hungry. Since they are a hard shelled insect most insect killer won't do anything, find something that is Pyrethrine based or vacuum them up and throw them outside.
