    Divide annual wages by 2080 hours/year to get salary per hour. This is based on 52 weeks/yr and 40 hours/week. So: $25,000/2080 = $12.02/hr, and $30,000/2080 = $14.42/hr.

The above solution is the correct solution if you work a 40 hour week.

If you work 6 hours a day or any other period than 40 hours a week you need to calculate it depending on the hours you work in a week.

Say you work a 30 hour week.

If you work a 30 hour week instead of a 40 hour week you have to take 30 X 52 weeks for a total of 1560. Hours in a year. You would than divide the salary amount by 1560 for the hourly rate.
