CA overtime pay - Part time employee - private security field
I'll keep this as detailed as possible:

    1) Employee in private security guard industry.
    2) Works two days a week at 12hr shifts.
    3) Does he get overtime pay?
    4) Are there exemptions to this for security industry?

I've read all the laws from CA website regarding full time employees and to some extent about PT vs FT on this matter and fringe benefits. Is this person entitled to OT pay with working only 2days @ 12hr shifts even or does this matter if he/she was hired on as full time or not?

    Thanks so much!

The person does not work 40+ hours which is traditionally the cut off mark were overtime pay would kick in. This is regardless if the person is full time or part time employee. They haven't worked the first 40 hours in one week so they are not entitled to overtime pay if they work 12 hours a day for 2 days.
