Im a Salary Employee, That's not getting paid because of Weather
I work Construction, I am a Salary Employee, I was injured on the Job, my final week at work before I was fired for going to the Emergency room after reinjuring my already bad injury, Now Im being told that my Final Week of Salary does not have to be Paid, because of Bad weather, I was paid for the days missed when We had a Tropical Storm but not when It snows, The reason I am given is because the Office was closed, the other Job Foreman were paid for these days, I was not Hired as an office Employee, I was Hired as A Job Foreman, it was the Companies choice to place me in the Office while I was on Light Duty. CAN THEY DO THIS??:confused:

Check with your state's department that handles workplace injuries about what has been going on with your employer. They will be able to guide you to the resources you need to deal with this.
