When is it a good time to make the baby sleep in her own crib?
We have an 11 month old daughter. My wife insists that she sleep in our bed (we have a queen size). After awhile, I was losing sleep because the baby would inch her way over to sleep next to me. As sweet as that sounds, I could not roll over. I already sleep on the edge of the bed as is. I compromised by taking the gate off the crib and pushing our bed up to the crib, making a co-sleeper. My wife breast-feeds her throughout the night. My wife works long hours. I am a stay at home dad. My wife feels this arrangement makes it easy for her to feed the baby and still sleep. But when she feeds the baby, the baby stays in our bed. The crib has more room than what I have. I told my wife that I could wake up and bring the baby to her and put the baby back, but she refuses. There are also safety issues such as rolling over on top of the baby and the baby falling out of our bed. I'm trying to be sensitive to my wife's needs, but I feel things will be a lot harder when we make the baby sleep in the crib by herself, and then to have her sleep in her own room. What advice do you have? I'm desperate.

Baby monitor. I have a wonderful little girl who always had her own room, it is very dangerous to make that a routine. Time to put the foot down on this issue, I actually had a coworker who's sister lost her baby to a roll over in bed.
