I have a drug addicted daughter that will not go to work and constantly demands money for various items she also refuses to leave, she is 35 years old. She has threatened me physically several times, the district attorneys office is not helpful in eviction or advice.

Moved to family law section, please do not ask a question as an answer to someone else's, esp to a very old question. It was lucky your post even got noticed at all where you posted it.

The DA does not do evictions, they arrest people and send them to jail.
If you have proof of the threats you may get a restraining order and get an emergany eviction, but normally you will have to give them a 30 day notice and take them to houseing court if they don't just move out.

*** Now with that said, I will tell you what I would do, if my personal safety was an issue, I would do what ever I had to, legal or not, to protect myself. If someone in my household threatened me and I took it seriusly, I would change the locks, and set their belongings on the porch.
If the police showed up I would lie and said no they did not live there and she was trying to force herself in. ** sorry but I have to worry about my own protection over legal. So the worst that could happen, she could sue you for an illegal eviction, and if she won, she gets a judgement, which you just refuse to pay anyway, and what is she going to do, then.
