My daughter is 20 years old and has a 3 year old daughter and a boyfriend who is nearly 30. My daughter was going to school (College) and doing really good until she met this guy. Now she is debt up to her you know what. They were living in our rental house and we were charging them 425.00 a month all was good then about 3 months after they moved in everything started going down hill. My granddaughter started staying more and more at our house and her mother was staying in her house never coming out.
Boyfriend was jumping from job to job and so was my daughter. We would give them ideals on were to go get a job but they never did go look. They would always come up with some reason they couldn't. My daughter started be fowl mouthed and rude to everyone even her daughter. I would tell her we do not talk like that in my house and she would get mad an leave, leaving my granddaughter with me. We would have the grandbaby for days and her mother would not come out of the house or even call to check on her. My daughter told me she allows her boyfriend to spank her daughter when
She gets out of line and I was just dumb founded. My husband who is my daughters stepfather never spanked her and never would he left that up to me is she needed it.
I found out her boyfriend had RX for Oxyicodons and I believe my daughter started taking them also. I had asked her and when I did they were rude and mean to me about it. Next day they took the baby an left we did not hear from them for weeks I was heart sick and worried did not know where were they and is the baby OK. They finally let us know they had left the state and went to where his family lived. Then here they come without the baby
To get some of their thing out of the house and they were gone again. This is so out of character for my daughter. I am very worried about both her and the baby. He got her to sale her car now she has no transportation. She has borrowed money from everyone in the family to the point no one will give her anymore. I think that is one reason they left. I am just heartsick I fear for her live and the baby's. I did find out that her daughter was at her other grandparnets trying to suck up sugar though a straw up her nose. I need help. If I call DCS on her she will not let me see my granddaughter any more. Same if I call the police she made that very clear to me. I feel as if I have my hands tied by the her. I love my daughter and granddaughter very much what do I do.

It's better for the child to be safe and be somewhere safe. Then you can ask for custody. A lawyer could tell you exactly what your options are. I am not a lawyer.
