I feel like I'm going crazy!
:P I am a mother of 3, twins who are three years old and a little girl who is 16 months. My boys seem to be going through the terrible 2s all over again. They will not listen to me or my husband no matter what. We have tried being nice, putting them before our daughter, I though maybe it was just jealousy. Wrong! It's just getting worse. I don't know what to do anymore. My husband just can't handle them when they get that way. I'm at a loss. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. They go to daycare all week and they are wonderful there, but when they are with me or my husband then it's like they are monster children. HELP!!

Its very hard for me to reply because I do not know what you have and have not tried. Briefly, you must come up with consequences that are severe enough to be meaningful and consistently aply them to inappropriatr behaviors while at the same time, teaching adaptive behaviors to replace those you want to eliminate. Easy to say, hard to do. A great book on topic is PARENTING WITH LOVE AND LOGIC by Cline and Faye.

    Best wishes,

    Hi there

If you need to bring up a child i9n the proper way you need to turn to the only hand book that always works,
    The "BIBLE"

Two lessons that it gives, that can have a significant impression on you child is

"Spare the rod and Spoil the Child"

If the child need a spank for being naughty, DO IT. Always carry out your threats, never let them go unheeded as a child learns this very quickly and will become unruely very quickly. They need to learn that what you (As the parent) say is law, and they need to do whatever it is immediately.

A lot of parents make this mistake at an early age and will most definitely suffer when the child becomes a teenager.

    The other is

"Bring up your child in the ways of the Lord and he/she will never depart from it"

This is also extremely important to bring up a child in a loving and caring environment and expose him or her to a christian backgrounding as they will always fall back on this in time of trouble.

I would really like to chat a lot more, BUT I do not know how you are going to handle all this religion stuff.

Come back if you are interested.

    Hi there,

I sympathise with you... However, I must be hard.

You are allowing them toooo much freedom in that they can do whatever they like and now that you have a daughter they most probably feel out... I know you said that your husband is trying to put them before your daughter... They need to be told emphatically that you love them everyday if not more, and lots of hugs and kisses.

However you need to instill discipline into their lives by not tolerating their naughtiness, also with a loving hand.

Read what it says in the Bible, Spare the rod and spoil the child.

Before you go beating your child with that afore mentioned rod (you can go to jail for that) I have a suggestion that helped us tremendously. My son starting being a little turd when he was 3. It was unbareable. He would yell and argue. When he got older he would hit and kick the walls. We tried everything. Except beating him. I myself was familiar with the lords "rod" when I was a child and it was the worst memory of my childhood. Stupid people. Anyway, we went through a therapist and everything and they diagnosed him with ADHD when he was 5. They wanted to medicate him. I said hell no. So we tried an alternative therapist who suggested that food dyes and sugar could be the problem. At great effort and expense we tried it out. It took about 2 weeks to get it out of his system and I will be darned if he is not a different child now at 6 years old. We can tell immediately when he has had sugar. He reverts back to the defiant bratty ways. Now, we watch his diet as if he were a diabetic. Of course we let him have cake or ice cream once in awhile. But now we know what is going to happen if we let him have a treat and it is easier to cope with. Please please please please try this before you agree to medicate your children and or beat them with a "rod". If you have any questions or concerns , feel free to contact me directly. Any help help or suggestions you may need, I am more than willing to help with. I know the pain you are going through.

Going to keep this short and sweet. I have never been a fan of daycare. It does change a child behavior cause u have other people trying to teach your kids. SOME Daycare workers are nice when the parents are around, but when they leave all bet are off. I have been in daycare and witness how they treat kid It sick. I truly feel for you guys. GOOD LUCK
