What's the meaning of a red blanket ?
I was in the bedroom in complete darkness lying down awake. I had my eyes closed trying to fall asleep. I had a feeling that someone was in the room with me. I opened my eyes and I saw right in front of me in the pitch dark a deep red blanket elevating slowly in front of me. I just laid there and watched it rise. I was so afraid to pick my head up to look and see what was at the top of this red blanket. I just laid there and waited for it go all the way up and then I jumped out of the bed and headed out of the room. Anyone have an answer to what this might have been? I had a very tragic death in my family 2 months prior. I've been wondering what this could have been for the last 30 years. I've never forgotten it. If anyone has an answer to this please let me know.
    Thanks, JP

In the paranormal section people often describe 'seeing things'. In many instances this seems to take place in a darkened room. One possible explanation for this is something called entoptic phenomenon.

I am not saying this is what it is in your case but it is a possibility.

Sometimes paranormal occurrences are one time things and that being said they can be difficult to explain. I would say there is no "meaning" for it, but possibly just something trying to get your attention. Lucky for you it doesn't seem like it stuck around. Thank God for that... more people than not have to constantly deal with their situation.

Thank you for your reply. I looked up entopic phenomenon but my experience was much more intense. Thank you again.

Thank you for your reply. But maybe it just might have been something or someone trying to get my attention that wasn't evil. That's the way I prefer to look at it. Thanks again!
