I might be having a bad paranormal issue, but I'm not sure, will someone please help?
Ok, every time I move to a new house I'm fine for awhile but then things start happening. In the first house I had hung up a couple of things and that night they fell off the wall. I had always felt a... heavy weight in my room. I never felt safe, like someone was watching me. In the second house I heard random noises and then I had a reacurring dream of a ghost trying to kill me, and it was always the same ghost. When I had woken up from this dream I would see a dark figure at the foot of my bed, which is where it was in the dream. In my current house I had a really weird dream the second month I was here and that ghost came back. When I had my dog before I had to give her away she would growl and bark when nothing was there. Sometimes, something will begin to shake or rattle on a shelf in my room and now I'm being moved. When I had laid down last night I was about to go to sleep and my hand went up and then back down like someone had just picked it up and then dropped it. A few minutes later it felt like someone had pushed me a litte, like someone had nudged me I guess. I've had a very close friend of mine die a few months ago and I'm also wondering, if there is in fact a ghost or two, if he's part of this. No matter what house I'm in I always feel like someone is watchng me and when that happens the hair on the back of my neck stands up and I get a very bad feeling in my gut. Will someone please help me? I'm really concerned.

If your close friend died, and is coming back, he would not be coming back to harm you. If he is there at all he is an entity trying to help you, but not strong enough to succeed.

Shame about the dog. I would have tried to beat this thing before giving my dog away. Anyway, that is neither here nor there in this thread.

I am not doubting you, but many of the issues you have where you think it is a 'ghost' (by the way ghosts don't do stuff like this), call it a spirit entity, are occurrences that can be naturally explained. Sorry, I too have had my issues with the paranormal, but I always look at it as if I can explain a problem with the paranormal naturally or not. If I cant, I run like hell ! No just kidding, I actually walk around talking to whoever it might be and ask 'it' to leave. What I am saying, try talking to 'it' asking 'it' to go back where it came from. Carry a bible when you are doing this.

We do have some excellent paranormal people here, Hauntinghelper and Martinizing2 have their feet planted firmly on the ground, so they may have some good input for you on this.

Thank you tickle, and I'm with you... I'd give something a run for it's money before I gave away a pet or moved. Of course haunted houses are a big subject, but where you live really has nothing to do with how or why a spirit can manifest. Of course we are limited on here to what info you give us and there really is no way for us to verify your story... but spirits do attach themselves to people. I do not believe this is your passed friend, for many reasons... but it sounded like you've been having this paranormal problem longer than a couple months, correct? Possibly longer than your friend passed away?

How long has this type of thing really been going on for you?

I know there can be some stuff that can be explained, another close friend of mine does that all the time, but some of this stuff I can;texplain. And recently I've seen a shadow go across the wall. I can't explain this one because 1) it was already dark in my room and the only light was coming from my alarm clock and 2) it happened more than once in different places. And with my friend who died, if he is here, I know he wouldn't ever hurt me, so he's not really a concern, it would be kind of niceif he is here though. And with the bible thing, a) I don't have one b) I'm agnostic

I do have to disagree with the "carrying a bible around". A bible does not scare spirits away. However it is what is INSIDE of the bible where you get your ammo for fighting. While demons don't know everything... they do know scripture. They are found in church sometimes. The only thing that threatens them is someone with a REAL relationship with God, as they are the ones He gave authority over these spirits to. Songbird, is there anything in your past that might have opened up a doorway into your life? Something like playing in the occult, vices in your life, a family history of paranormal experiences? Anything like that you may know of?

I've had a similar experience with spirits following me from place to place and though I can't answer your question on why, I can say that the fear you are feeling may not be from an evil entity but your natural response to having a ghost around you! Ghosts can move things and they can touch us if they have gathered enough energy to do so, but generally they cannot move or lift anything over 2 pounds and seldom do something intentionally harmful. You could always try salt, it is known to keep most types of " normal" spirits at bay, sprinkle a bit in each corner of each room of your home and announce to them that you do not like their presence, that you do not want them around and they are making you feel uncomfortable. Most times if it's not a poltergeist or something like that , it will move on. Keep us posted and I hope this helps.

If that doesn't work try some pepper. At least then if you hear sneezing you'll know WHERE the ghost is ;)

All right, I tried the "putting salt in each corner" thing, and it seemed to work for awhile, but it came back... with a vengeance.it feels like someone keeps pushing me into my bed, I have a loft bed... so that hurts, a lot. I started waking up and finding scratches on my wrists and hands that didn't have before I went to bed. I also heard this weird moan, how can I describe it... um, it sounded like someone was trying talk underwater? Yeah, lets go with that, it sounded bubbly. I've also seen red eyes staring at me. Things are knocking themselves over... oiy, this is getting irritating. My brother told me that the salt thing probably didn't work and that it was just hiding so that when I felt safe, and lower my guard, it could freak me out even more, henceforth, coming back with a vengeance as I like to put it.Also, Whenever it's around, I have trouble breathing. No, I do not have asthma or anything, but whenever it's around I can't breath. A friend of mine told me that when that happens that its attacking me... I wouldn't know. I can sense when it around, the air in the air feels heavy I suppose, and I don't usually feel threatened, but the other night I felt threatened. It's hard to explain, but, it's presence just changed from what it usually is to threatening and when I was on my laptop it felt like it was rubbing down my arm. Not up and down, just down and when I was listening to a song I thought I had heard growling in my headphones. I listened to the song the next day and that sound wasn't there. So I don't if I'm going crazy or if something is really here. Please help!

How come it took you so long to come back to us to report your ongoing problem? It has been 3 months since you last posted your first (ongoing) encounter.

Edit: I have had occurrences, similar to what you describe. In the middle of the night complete horror and unable to move because I sense something at the door of my room, but afraid to look, because if I do it will be the end of my life. Ya, I know, but I don't let it get me.

Sorry to hear things did not get better... but my pepper remark was kind of a hint that the salt would not work. Would you be willing to turn to the church for help? I'm not talking about keeping a bible in your room to scare it off... I'm talking legit conversation with someone to get this thing taken care of? 11 or 12 years is way to long to be dealing with this. I too used to have those feelings in my room... the heaviness, the evil, the being watched over... and I know what takes care of it.

All right, all right. I don't mean to sound like some paranoid freak, forgive me if I have. I'm sorry it took so long to get back, but like I said, for awhile I was fine and I've been too busy to get to a computer. And to answer the church thing, that's kind of hard considering
    a. I don't go to church and
    b. I'm not christian
Otherwise I would have already gone... I'm not trying to be difficult... I apologize

Just because you don't "go" to church does not mean you cannot... does it? A lot of people have a hesitation towards it I know... but do you have a certain reason you shy away from church?

Don't worry, you're not being difficult. We all come from different situations and backgrounds.
