Hi All,

I've had this dream a while back and totally forgot about it until the topic was raised recently. What are the possibilities of meeting someone in your dreams before knowing they even exist?

The dream started with me walking alongside another person, talking, laughing, just casual conversation and teasing. Then all of a sudden gunshots broke out and everything became chaotic.. I screamed for that person to watch out, but he was standing still. So I jumped in front of him and took the bullet in my chest. He then held onto me and started crying as I lay on the ground either dead or pretty badly injured.

A few days later, I met the person I saved in my dreams. He is now my closest friend.

Can anyone here interprete the meaning behind that dream? Or have a reason of how it is possible for me to have dreamt of my friend before meeting him? I personally find it quite scary so knowing its meaning might help a bit.

Funny. A long time ago I dreamt of my husband way before I met him- so seeing him was a little eerie.

Maybe your dream signifies that your relationship will be/is a strong relationship that you would take the proverbial bullet for him.

That's my take anyway.

I know one thing about the dreams there are wired. If I have dream about my love once whom past away the wetter changes
Than I have a dream falling tooth, if I dream that somebody dyes I'm scared and I want to stop these dream I don't wan to know before somebody dyes that somebody close to me or who I know will dye but that's the life, dream are wired and we can't do thing about it..

I actaully had a dream 3 years ago of this guy I've never met... come to last August the guy from my dreams shows up! It was really awekward!! He asked me out a week after valetines day! And we're still together!

I have had many, many, many, dreams of people before I meet them... I met my husband, my daughter, my son (but at a much older age 6 months), my home, life circumstances and handful of friends prior to knowing their existence. I believe that most are premonitions because they all hit me as "I have been here and done this exact same thing as before" BUT if you meet the person and remember the dream a lot of the times the circumstances around the dream will change. This good as it changes its course (god forbid we would not want you shot at). Now you don't have to take it so literal but you mentioned "chaos" and "saving his life" (sacrificing your own). I think your new friend has some problems (be it emotional or physical) and you will be his confidant and strength. Careful not to make any self sacrifices because you will be the one to hold accountable or responsible for the results (be it undesirable or not). Maintain a happy relationship but don't give in too much emotional support because at this (especially this) time in your life YOU need the help... it might leave you with very little energy.

It is quite normal to have dreams of someone you haven't met yet it is just like a vision of what will happen in your future

Two months later I got on this website and met her, still not knowing it was the girl from my dream. We became really close. When we finally met in person we were hanging out in a mall. Same thing as in my dream. I didn't relize it was her until she sat down on the bench and I sat down after her. She was wearing the same clothes and everything. It felt like we knew each other for a long time.

it's now over a year since I posted this question up, and it brings warm feelings remembering the startling (and somewhat freaked out) thoughts I had back then.. it's also nice to hear stories from other forum users about their own experience. I guess there is such thing as paranormal bonds, and it's a beautiful thing in life to be able to meet that someone who you can just relate to - and know that what you share is more than just mere companionship.. Sometimes it's difficult to not believe in "meant to be's..."

Well I have a question to you, I been talking to this girl on fb and we not close or anything we talk here and there and yesterday I had a dream about her and I never meet her in person or anything and today I woke up I woke up super smily like I was in love again which I know it was a dream however I want to know how this person came to my dreams and make me feel like that this morning... anyone has an idea? N I have dreams like that in the past but never woke up next day all happy and smily just this time...

To preface this story, I'm 23 and a dude.

I had a dream last night and I was traveling different places. Staying in hostile and old homes. Eventually, I walked into a girl, looked at her, and then both of us immediately dropped everything we were holding and grabbed each other in the most emotional hug I have ever felt. We both started crying (in joy) and we were so emotinol that we eventually fell over hugging each other laughing and crying. It was like we both knew each other from a really long time ago; like we were childhood friends who loved each other and we moved away from each other, and then we were finally reunited.

It felt like I had found the love of my life and that she did the same. I don't think I've ever seen this person in my life before though. At least, she hasn't been a significant part of my life. All I know is, that everything in the world meant nothing when we saw each other and she was the only thing that mattered. It was such a great feeling.

Funny that you share that... I had a dream several nights ago very similar to that. I met somebody in the dream that I felt I had such a deep history with. It almost brought tears to my eyes because there was such a connection to this person. We embraced and smiled at each other... there are not words to describe the joy I felt with this individual.

I do, however, believe this is just a dream. Perhaps like me, you are a very sentimental person and that may be what was fueling those dreams. I hold no meaning or omen to it whatsoever... but I'm glad I had it.

One night I dreamt of a male whom I don't know and had never met before, in a romantic capacity. The following day my daughter started gym class and one of the instructors was the same male. I instantly recognized him and was quite flustered as we were directed toward him by the manager. He couldn't do enough to help us and was very friendly. I'm sure he recognized me too, as when I kept sneaking quick glances at him whilst observing my daughter, I caught him looking over at me. I felt completely strange and yet compelled towards him. I find this really strange when I am happily married and pregnant. So weird! Any explanation?

Happily married and pregnant means off limits... no matter what the dream was.

I had a dream of a girl once. I knew her name, where she was from, and what she looked like. I even knew her middle name. I also learned a lot about her in this dream. Funny thing was though, I had never met this girl before in my life. We were in my biological father's house, who I hadn't seen for 3 years by this point, and he had moved twice in those 3 years. About 2 weeks later, school starts back for my 9th grade year (In 11th now). I get to third hour and a girl walks in who looks surprisingly familiar, but I couldn't place her. She introduced herself and told the class about herself. And, wouldn't you know, she was the girl from my dream. About a month later, my biological father runs into my mom at WalMart in the town he lives in (we live in a smaller town with a much more ty WalMart). He gets a hold of me on the phone and we make up for what caused us to lose contact for 3 years. I go to stay at his house. When we get there, I get freaked out because the entryway looked like I had been there before. He starts giving me tour of the place, and I already knew the whole house. And this girl, anytime I see her outside of school, I have a dream within a night or 2 before I see her. I'll have a dream of seeing her in WalMart, and sure enough, I'll see her in WalMart. I used to be a stoner from a young age to recently (finally quit)... and even before this dream, every time I would get high, I'd see her in my head. It's kind of weird how things like this happen. I just want to know how these things are possible. Is it like ESP?

This has happened to me a number of times! Mostly it has been in a romantic capacity. I've seen future boyfriends in my dreams, mainly it's a glimpse of the face (facial features) before meeting them or having any connection. I'd say, as I've gotten older I am more receptive of my dreams (and pay attention!). Only last week, I saw a few second flash of a face of a guy (didn't know why?), but I then met him at a wedding three days later! Uncanny, crazy, but always a buzz when thi shhappens to me. Why I'm here I like to see if others have this happen too? It does not scare me, quite the opposite). My current boyfriend and I had a similar dream the same night! My dream was played out just as others have mentioned on the thread. We are very connected and told we are soul mates. I think dreams are very powerful and give us insight into more than we think or understand. Ww

I had a dream of boy and I'm holding hands on the top of a brick wall. The next day I saw him at McDonalds. We both had eye contact with each other. Then at night I had the same dream again. After that I finally realized that it was the same guy in my dreams. It was so strange cause I'm only 12 years old.

I had the same dream, before at age of 12, I was always dreaming that I have a little brother, and our mother abondonend us, and I feel responsible about him, and I take care of him... after 2 years I met this person, and I knew it's him my little brother from the dream, we have the same age, and he's now my best friend, my soulmate, my big love! Weird!
