I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this. :S

I recently started using wordpress, and at the moment I'm sort of playing around with it and such. I'm a new user. :D

My problem and question is this:

In wordpress I'm able to add pages, right. These pages are automatically added in the header navigation part of the template. BUT, I want to add more pages, and post their links on the sidebar, NOT the header. I DON'T WANT THE SAME LINKS ON THE HEADER AND SIDEBAR, I want two totally different sets. I know how to post links on the sidebar, but it says to put the "url link" where do I get this url?

& then I tried creating a new page, and grabbing the "url", but the link still comes out in the header, and I don't want it there. :(

Just in case anyone knows how to work with wordpress.. yeah. Please help. :)
