    Office Home and Student 2007
I can't get Office Home and Student to load. I keep getting the message "file missing E:\sku112.cab.". I have Office 2000 on my computer right know and all was working well. Than one day Excel would not open and I kept getting a message to put in disk one for Office 2000. No prob you say, well you have to be able to find the darn disc first and I had no luck in doing that. So, I go out and buy Office Home and Student 2007 to try and fix my Excel and now I can't get that to load. Please anyone out there that can help?

Try uninstalling your Office 2K completely, then install the new version.

Thanks Scott, but if I did that I would lose all my contacts in Outlook and I have to have those. Right now excel is the only program not working all my other programs, Word, Outlook, Explorer are working just fine. Office Home and Student 2007 only has Word and Excel on it.

No you wouldn't. Removing the program, does not remove your data files including the outlook.pst file which contains those things. If you are concerned then back them up.

Trashman if you have any doubts about your information being removed when deleting MS Office 2000, back it up first. Like the saying goes, it's better to be safe than sorry.

    Hope this helps!
