    IE icon issue
When I try to open internet explorer from the desktop using its icon the pointer shows that it's loading but after about five seconds the pointer turns back to normal and nothing happens. It does the same when I click on the IE logo on quicklaunch. My homepage never gets displayed. If I try again it does the same thing. When I go to tskmngr and click on the processes tab on the list I see IEXPLOER.EXE in the list how many times I clicked on its icon on the desktop. Every other icon works and Firefox works. Although it does work if I go to start-all programs-internet. So what should I do to get it to open from my desktop:mad:?

Try going the start-all programs, then right click on internet, and choose create shortcut.

Then just drag the shortcut to your desktop.

That should work, then you can just delete the other icon on the desktop.

I did that and it worked for a few hours but when I tried to open IE back up later it went back to not working. Also all the possible ways to get to IE do not work any more.
