Well Tony, there could be several causes, the ones that come to my mind are:
    1) The video will obviously take longer to buffer if it is really lengthy and if you are using a dial-up connection (if not then ignore this cause)
    2) If you are using Mozilla Firefox, I suggest you try to load the same video using Internet Explorer because Mozilla has several unnecessary safety features
    3) It could be possible that you are using a slightly older or corrupt version of Flash Player. Go to Download Flash Player 10.0.1.218 Beta (IE) - FileHippo.com and download this latest version (which will only run on Internet Explorer.
    4) As a last resort, to do away with the buffering business altogether, go to KeepVid: Download videos from Google, Youtube, iFilm, Putfile, Metacafe, DailyMotion! and type the URL of the video there so that you can simply download the video or you could install Real Player 11 from Download RealPlayer 11.0.0.446 - FileHippo.com which can also download videos from numerous sites.
I hope that at least one of the above mentioned solutions will solve your problem!
