    Multimedia Audio Controller
Hello all, I am new here. I have lost the sound on my computer and it tells me I need a driver for Multimedia Audio Controller. I tried to download the free version of Driver Detective but it keeps wanting me to pay $29.95 (I assume USD). How do I download the free version.

Any changes that either happened or that you perhaps made to your computer around the time that the problem started; particularly any software or hardware that you installed or setup.

    What driver do you need?

What operating system are you using?

Do you have yellow mark in device mgr?

If so, right click on the device that has yellow mark and choose uninstall and say OK

-close open windows and restart computer, windows will find sound card and install generic drivers for it

-check sound when back in windows

    Post back
