When I start my Dell integrated webcam software I get a window that say 'Please connect your camera before using Live! Cam Avatar.' The camera is working but I can't seem to get the Live! Cam affects to show up??

Hey I was just wondering is Live! Cam Avatar just for Dell laptops and creative cams?? If not how would one go about adding the HP webcam, because it when I try to it tells me that it needs to be connected which it is and when I go to settings the camera is there but just doesn't work?? Please...
