How do I deal with being a loser?
In my school I'm regarded as a loser. I'm in 7th grade, and my friends are a mix of nerds, geeks and outcasts. I don't even think THEY like me that much. It's becausw I laugh to loud, I'm a stupid nerd/geek, I'm a weirdo, I suck at Physical Education and I'm ugly (I don't need to hear that "You're Beautiful" shiz. It doesn't work. -_-) Last year I was standing in a lunch line and a popular girl called me a "creep"... I had never talked to me before and her first sentence to me involved her calling me a creep. Wow. A few days later, I was standing next to that same girl in P.E. and she saw me and she gave a disgusted look and walked away. Again, that same friggin girl was sitting in front of me while we were watching a movie. Another girl (who was nice and even more popular than the mean girl) threw something across the room. The mean girl thought it was me, and she was digusted. I told her it wasn't me and when she found out it was the other popular girl who threw it, she smiled at that girl, laughed, and ignored me... again, wow. Today I was walking to class and a different popular girl was standing in the doorway, holding the door open for people, but when I walked up, she literally just let go of the door when I was right next to it, and then she pushed in front of me and went inside. I think about these events and my heart hurts. How do I deal with being a major loser? I know popularity won't matter too much when I get older, but... what do I do for now?

Slamming the door in your face is bullying - have you reported it?

No... I would be hated. No way I'm taking that risk! They would spread rumours and her posse would murder me.

Then I see no choices. Live with it, learn to ignore it, report it.

I can think of nothing else.

I'm sorry you're going through this. School sucks, and not being in the popular group often seems like the end of the world. Trust me, it isn't.

When I was in junior high I wasn't popular. I had a lot of friends, and wasn't really hated by any group, but I didn't hang out with the popular kids.

One day I was invited to one of the popular girls birthday parties I really didn't want to go, none of the group I usually hang out with were invited. I didn't know any of the popular girls well enough to feel comfortable going to a sleep over birthday party.

For days before the party they asked me to eat lunch with them, hang out with them. I did, and I was bored to tears. All they did was walk around the school at lunch, go to the bathroom to do their makeup, talk about boys, or other girls. That really wasn't my scene.

I ended up not going to the party, I pretended to be sick. Well, I was at home, my friend called and asked if I'd like to go for a bike ride. I agreed, got on my bike, rode down my driveway and who do you think was there? All the girls from the birthday party. They had decided to go for a walk (the birthday girls house was only a few blocks from mine) and see if I was feeling better. I felt horrible. They now knew I lied to get out of going to the party.

That Monday I really didn't want to go to school. I brought the girl a present, apologized, tried to explain why I didn't come to her party, but after that I was considered an enemy because I had made it clear I didn't want to be in their group. I had snubbed them without intending to.

Truth is, I had a lot more fun being with my real friends than I ever would have had in their group, and it's true, once you're out of school none of that stuff even matters. Not that it doesn't hurt when you're dealing with it, but in the long run, school is only a small part of your life.

Make the most of it, ignore the haters, have fun and don't let them see that it bothers you. They only do it to make themselves feel better, or to act like they're cool. Really being cool means not treating other people like crap.

High school will be a lot different. :)

That girl who keeps picking on you.. yeah she has issues with herself. It makes her feel better to makes others feel like crap. She may be jealous of you somehow or just see you as weak and know you won't say anything back to her. Just take it easy. It has nothing to do with you and everything to do with her insecurities. Friends of hers will snub you too because that is what most "friends" do that age to show who they are loyal to.
