    Desktop password protection
    Hi

    Can you tell me the best way to password protect desktop without using additional software
    So that when I leave my PC for say 10 minute:confused: s the screen becomes "locked down"

    What version of Windows? Generally if you use a screen saver and se it for 10 minutes and password protect it that should be sufficient.

    Set the screensaver to 10 minutes and enable the "On Resume, password Protect" option.

    Windows xp version 2

    Applied password and however just by hitting "enter" key it took me straight to the desktop!

    Do you have a password on the User account? If not you need to set one. Open Control Panel and go to Users.
