I have recently switched over to Ubuntu... My eMachine crashed and I had to move into an older HP that I had sitting around. The only copy of XP I had was OEM for my eMachine and wouldn't install on anything else and I can't afford to purchase a new copy of XP or a new Vista machine at this time, so I decided to switch over to Ubuntu. So far I am happy with the features and it was much easier than I expected.

The Only real issue I am having is with my Kingston 2GB thumb drive. I use it to transfer my divx movies to my stand alone player, many of which are larger than 1GB. The problem is that for some reason the drive is showing up half full even though there are no files on it at all. I have looked for hidden or trash files and have found nothing. I can find no reason for the space to be used. Please help. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Place the drive back in the XP machine and empty the trash. Files will stay on the drive until the trash is emptied. If this still dose not work you could reformat the drive remember to use FAT32.
This usually clears up the problem.
Some USB drives contain partitions for applications this may be a cause also.
