Definitely cancel your bank card and any other credit cards that were in your wallet, if you haven't done so already.

Hopefully someone else will be able to help you with your SSC and birth certificate. I believe when you lose your license or it gets stolen, you report it to the DMV.

Put an alert on your credit report. That will stop anyone who has designs to do so from using your SSN to obtain credit. If any credit has already been given the police report will show that your wallet was stolen.

    NauticalStar is right as well.

Contact the social security office and see what you might be able to do.

Why did you have your SSN & birth certificate in your wallet? Not judging just curious.

I lost it last night and I'm so dumb thinking there's good people around and that they would turn it in... well I didn't have money in my checking but I did in my savings and they attacked that already... so I called the bank... but I don't what to do when I sign up for a new ssc I don't have any way of identification all that was in my wallet

Read the article I linked to has the number to call the FTC about your SS Card and it has the numbers of the all the credit bureaus. Just call and tell them that you lost your wallet and you need to be an alert on your credit file.

You just call them and say I lost my wallet and I want an alert put on my credit report.

The article I linked to tells you everything to do. Read through that and it will help guide you.

House plant indentity? [ 2 Answers ]

I am trying to find the name of a house plant I have. Each stem has 3 black and purple leaves which fold together and bend down when there is not enough light, as yet there are no flowers, but some small buds on shoots have appeared.
