    Check vs cash transfer
    I owe my soon to be ex husband money. I would previously transfer the money to a joint account. Lately, he "prefers" a check. Why? There is till a paper trail. Thanks

    Cheques are payable to him and him only.

    The joint account is not the same by definition.
