    Cell Phones
How can you identify who a phone number belongs to if it is listed to a cell phone? Is there a way to ID the caller or trace who the number is assigned to? I receive calls from numbers that I do not know and I have tried a reverse look-up with programs such as "Anywho" with no luck. Is anyone able to assist me?

    Thanks,

There is no way it can be done. It would be a breach of trust between the phone provider and the owner of the number. These phone provider cannot release any information of the owner of any number. This is to prevent any SMS spam, prank calls or coldcalls from unknown companies.

If you are receiving a prank call and need to know who is it, I suggest you go to an appropriate authority(e.g police, etc) to find out.
