    Taking a break
Hey everyone just to let you know, so you don't wonder where I've gone, I'm taking a few days' break from the site. I injured my back and I am having trouble sitting for long periods. I was on for a little while yesterday and also today, but I'm even finding typing difficult after a few minutes. I may be on for a few minutes per day but that will be about it, given the pain it causes. If you've answered one of my questions, thanks so much, but I likely won't respond until my back is better. Here's hoping it won't be very long!!

I hope this isn't your first break from here, personally I like to take breaks from this site every now and again, mainly because I am out all night. Then I wake up, work out, and do it all again. So, sometimes I can't find time. But I also think it's good to just chill and let a few days pass , however, sometimes for me it has been a month or so, and that is a little drastic, but that's just my California attitude. Anyway enjoy your break and hope to see you here back soon. Peace.

    Get well soon, orange!

And in the meantime, get a laptop and have your husband hold it over your head so you can post here while lying on your back :D

Know the feeling. Backs are a real pain!
Just relax as much as you can, take care of yourself and Noah, the kids can help too.
Don't worry about us, we'll be here when you are better, and you won't be gone too long - knowing you.
Lots of love and best wishes!

    You need the rest!

Haha thanks! Luckily my parents are here until the end of September, so they are helping a lot with the older kids, although Noah at 6 weeks still really needs me!

Sends many get well wishes and a rice pack (uncooked rice sewn into a fabric square along with a small bit of pleasant scented herbs) for heating in the microwave and a bag of frozen peas to alternate with (just don't eat the peas after you've thawed and frozen them a few times okay?)

    Miss you :(

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. I am up today for a while, as the doctor wants me to try getting up and sitting, moving around, etc, so my back doesn't totally seize up. The pain is a little better but not by much. It's lasting a lot longer than I was hoping it would. :( Luckily my parents are here, living with us until the end of September, so they have been a great help. I'm not sure what I would have done otherwise, as Kadane (our housekeeper) is on vacation for the summer.

My doctor wants me to get a cat scan of my back this coming week, so I'm a bit nervous about that. Not of the actual cat scan; I know it's painless, but of the results. I'm hoping they don't find anything seriously wrong. Anyway regardless, it has been nice to rest alternately in bed and in a chair, watch all the movies I want and be waited on, LOL. I think Noah is enjoying it too, as he gets to sleep with me night and day now, rather than in his crib. It's just easier, for feeding him. Can you guys believe he is 6 weeks old already?? Time sure flies. My cat is also very happy to spend all day on the bed. :p

Anyway thanks again guys, I'm going to spend a little bit of time on here today and then I'll be gone again! I'll let you all know the results of the cat scan, when I get them.

Well, Chava, while you're all comfy in bed with Noah and the kitty, keep your camera nearby so that you can take a picture and send it to us. I just love babies and cats, and am looking forward to seeing both.

P.S. You can be in the picture too. Jaime also sends her best wishes.

I've been put on a new muscle relaxer that is not addicting, and it really works for me - I'll check and see what the US name for it is and will let you know - it's really working for my back.
