Eastern Standard Time (EST) when observing standard time (Winter), and Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) when observing daylight saving time (Summer).

You are right, I am NOW in EDT. EST is for winter...

    Thanks, little Brit monkey:)

Cappy, hun, here in the states she is in the Eastern Standard Time Zone, I am in the Central Standard Time Zone.

She is one hour ahead of me, you are 5 hours ahead of her, and 6 hours ahead of me.

She's not in eastern standard time, she's in eastern daylight time, and you're almost certainly in central daylight time, not central standard time! (sorry)
