    What should I do?
I asked a questions reagrding a judgemnt on mu husbands credit report. Your advice was to get validation on the debt. I need to know what to do if they validate it. Should I get an attorney to help me try and get a settlement amount. I owe 3900.00 I can not afford that.

First if they have the judgement, there is actually little you can do if it is valid and all servcie was done properly. So now where you live will make a big difference, if you live in a state where they can not garnish bank accounts and can not garnish you pay, they still can't get their money easily, so they may wish to settle. But if you live in a stte where they can attach your bank accounts and garnish pay, why would they want to settle.

You can call them up if you want and offer to pay the 2200 or something if you can pay that amount and see what they say, If you live in a state where they can't garnish, I would even offer 1200 or so. If not see ifyou can work out a payment plan with them ( get it in writing)
