There is an Squaters Law that protect the tenant who live in a property in foreclosure
I rent an apartment on July/08 with 1 year contract. On May/09 the owner notify me that the property enter on foreclosure and that I not have have to pay more rent until the contract end, after that we have to wait that the bank notify me that I have to move.
Now the owner or ex-owner is asking me to pay rent again the month of January and so on. I understand that now is not his property and he is not aloud to asking me to pay rent. There is any law that protect the tenant who live in a foreclosure property? Can he do something against me? What is your suggestion? What I have to do next?

What do you mean you "know" it is not his property, has the court sold the property at a foreclosure sale ?

If it is merely 'in foreclosure" it can take months, I have seen some go up to a year before they actually foreclose and he owns the property till it is sold.

And there is no squaters law that has any bearing on this,

You are required to pay rent to the owner of the property till the day it is sold at the sale. After that you will have to pay rent to the new owner pending their notice for you to move.
