    Statute of limitations manitoba
    Ireceived a loan from money mart in winnipeg manitoba in 2004 I received calls at work for several weeks and I told them I would pay it at any rate I was going through a nasty separation at the time and was unable to pay I ended up in because... I am now back in manitoba it is 2012 and have not heard from them I went in for a payday loan and they still have a file on me how long can they have a file and do I have to pay the money back...

    They can have a file on you as long as they want. The statute of limitations on unpaid debt is six years in Canada.

    Don't borrow if you can't pay back otherwise they will chase you to the ends of the earth even if there is a statute of limitations, and once you give in and say you will pay, then they get you again, ad infinitum.
