If you are asking if someone specific named you in a Will you would have to check with your local Court which handles probate matters.
With or without a Will if you are legally entitled to inherit you "should" be notified by the Executor of the estate.
What specifically is your situation?

My uncle, who was very well off, left monies to my sister, mother, niece & various friends - I was never notifed by an executor, and the monies were distributed 1 year ago. Would like to know if there is a way possible to see a copy of the will, and if indeed I am not mentioned, can I fight this?
Thank you,
LAurie

Yes, you go down to the probate court and ask to see a copy of the will. But if the will was probated as is likely for a wealthy man, then its unlikely you were mentioned.

You "probably" were not mentioned because you are not in a direct line to inherit. Whether money was left to you was at the discretion of your uncle.
You have no legal grounds to "fight" the Will if you were not mentioned because you have no legal standing - you are not in the direct line to inherit (again).
And Scott's advice is sound (of course).

Hey Scott,
Thanks for your help - one last question, would that court necessarily be in the town or county where he resided?
Thanks again,
Laurie

That's hard to say. Depends on the local court system. If the town is big enough they may have their own probate court so I would start there.

It was either Bridgehampton or South Hampton on the Island - would I also be able to find out what the distribution was to the concerned benefacors?
Thanks again,
Laurie

On Long Island? If so start with the Suffolk County court in Riverhead.
If the will was probated, then it's a matter of public record. So you should be able to get a copy of it.

I need a second opinion. My records were requested last week but the clinic's dragging their feet. The new clinic requested them over a week ago.
Can I march in there and demand them? Can they refuse to hand them over?
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks, Tom
