Do they have to send me what I paid for?
I purchased an item online from a nationally known jewellery store. I pricing on the item was outrageously low, facillitating my pruchase. The stores website said that once my credit card was approved, I would be charged and my order shipped. The same day, my account was charged and the charge cleared my account. However, the item was priced incorrectly. Do they have to ship my item since they accepted my payment already?

Maybe ( don't you love legal answers) what were the "fine print" the FAQ on the web site as to errors and mistakes.

    Hello k:

No. It was a mistake. If you made a mistake at work, like punched in late one day, after NEVER having missed it before, do you think you should be punished for your mistake? I'll bet you don't. Well, the store shouldn't either.

HOWEVER, if in a grocery store an item is mismarked the store takes the loss and the purchaser gets the bargain. The UPC then goes back to the proper department to be corrected in the computers.

I don't know if internet sales work the same way though.

They may be required to sell you the exact item listed at a advertised price, but if they have any exceptions listed, like quanities may be limited, for a limited time, and more, they may find a way out.

If they don't, you will have to end up taking them to court
