Can medical collection garnish my wages if I'm making payments
I have been making monthly payments on medical bills from 2004. They are now threating to sue me and garnish my wages. I made payments for 2 years when they found another bill that I hadn't been billed for so now I owe twice as much. Can they sue me and garnish my wages

If you have a written agreement and are keeping up with the terms, no, that stops them. If you are sending what you want, when you want, yes, they can sue for the entire balance. Also they have to agree with the payment plan.

And, yes, they can get a judgment and garnishee wages.

Well two issues, even if you have written agreement on the one bill, the new bill does not have a written agreement, so I see no reason they can't sue for that.

But if you don't have a written agreement, of course they can sue, if you still owe them money.

Absolutely right - I read this wrong, thought the new bill was simply a re-bill. Sorry - Fr Chuck is right.
