    501C3 Status
We are an organization that has a 501C3 status. We do not have as many members in our organization as we have before. We are looking to join or start a new group to support local sport organizations in our area. Could anyone tell me if our 501C3 status would be transferable to our new organization?

Why are you starting a new group instead of just changing some of the goals of the original group?

We were focused on one sport and want to start helping other youth sports. We were basiclly set up to start that sport and keep it going. Now that we attained most of our goals. Some of our bigger projects will require more people and more money. Which requires more fund raisers. So if we support the other sports we hope to get a bigger membership and help with some of other projects.
