    Umbrella will not move up and down with handle thing!
    Hello,

    The umbrella was up and perfect a few hours ago. I came outside to sit and it had move to a closed position all by itself. When I went to crank the handle it did nothing.

    It is like there is nothing for it to grab and hoist up. I am so confused, I do not want to replace it, it matches the patio set.

    Any suggestions appreciated, please.

    Have you looked for any little buttons or metal arms that might be making it not work? Every umbrella that I have ever seen with that problem was missing a piece that made it work. You will have to get inside it and push it up with your hands to look.
