Hampton bay ceiling fans troubleshooting
We have a Hampton Bay Vallejo Model No. 181-425 ceiling fan purchased and installed in June 2005. Unit has been run most days for several hours at Low and Med speeds and in both directions (dependant upon the season). Two days ago it had been running on Low speed counterclockwise overnight, and when I hit the REV button on the remote control a distinct dull pop sound came from the fan unit and it stopped running. The lights still work, but the fan doesn't respond to any inputs from the remote control.

My hampton bay ceiling fan light fixture does not work I connected the blue wire to the black and the white to the white ,but the light does not work. The ceiling fan does work, but the light does not turn on. There is electricity going to the fan any suggestions?
I cannot get the glass globe off my Sidewinder ceiling fan so I can change the bulb. I changed it once a couple of years ago, and don't remember how I got it off... but after I reinstalled the glass bulb, it fell off a couple of days later and smashed. I had to replace it. Can anyone out there...
Three different times my Hampton bay remote fan came on by itself in the middle of the night on high. No one lives near us that would have the same code.
I have a new Hampton Bay Remote control Light and fan unit. After installation, the lights work but the fan run on high no matter what you do. By pressing the buttons, the fan will slow but pick up speed when you let up on the button.
Hi. I have a HB remote fan. I have replaced the receiver twice already because upon installing the receiver and turning on the light/fan w the remote there has been a loud POP and the receiver smells burnt and is toast. I have appropriate voltage coming in-so can anyone help?
