    Replacement rope for umbrella
    Does anyone know where I can get replacement roping for a patio umbrella - I have replaced it twice with inadequate rope as it has again snapped. I have called the manufacturer and they did not have an answer for me.

    Go to a lawn mower shop and buy the largest diameter that will fit through the umbrella, and use this rope, it usually holds up pretty well.

    When I called the company to ask about that, I was advised to buy sheeting line at a marine supply store. It's the cording used on sail boats and lasts well in the weather.
