    Pipe wrap?
Hello, looking for some advice please on identifying some old pipe wrap covering that is in an outbuilding to my home. There are water pipes that lead from the house to the flush of the old outside toilet. The pipe is wrapped in a brown course looking almost hairy in appearance rope or wool of some kind. Hard to describe so have attached picture. Happy to leave in place but aware that asbestos was used for such purposes. Has anyone ever come across asbestos pipe wrap looking like this?
    Thanks.

Oh that picture was just so close to being in focus too. It does not appear to be asbestos, more like felt or wool. If you are concerned you can buy a asbestos test kit at most hardware store.
